He has successfully defended clients in serious personal injury and complex products liability cases, and is recognized for his extensive and successful trial and appellate work in the silicosis litigation.

Mike Dodson was born December 19, 1956, in Abilene, Texas.  He received his BA in Government from Lamar University in 1979.  He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law School in 1981, where he served as research staff editor on the Houston Law Review.  He is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law.  He is also trained and qualified as a mediator.  He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. 

 

Mike Dodson's knowledge, skill and experience as a successful defense attorney is well recognized in the toxic tort litigation, as well as general litigation defense of complex cases. Among his presentations at seminars and litigation conferences are the following papers:
